Wall Heath author Tom Butler has released his debut novel “Caught”. The novel tells the tale of Sam Woodall, a professional jump jockey, who turns detective in an attempt to discover who is trying to sabotage his father’s business.

Tom has had an interest in writing for many years for his own enjoyment and with the encouragement of his wife, Wendy, he decided to write novels that might be commercial enough to interest a publisher.

“Caught” which Tom began in 2011 took seven months to complete and was accepted by his publisher last year. He already has two options for his next book.

“Caught” was released in paperback by Book Guild Publishing and is available from Amazon, priced £10.99.

Kurling comes to Wall Heath!

Following hot in the footsteps of the Winter Olympics Wall Heath Community Association is starting a Kurling group for beginners (this is not on ice!). The group will meet on Tuesday afternoons at the Community Centre, Enville Road with the sessions starting at 2pm and going through to 4.30pm.

The first session will be on Tuesday 1st April . For the month of April the sessions will be free and thereafter a charge of £2 per person will be levied.

Line Dancing

The Line Dancing group that started at the Wall Heath Community Centre at the beginning of January 2014 has proved so successful that membership of the group has had to be closed and a waiting list is now in operation.
